This mural is yet another self-initiated project that was realized in the area of Plateia Amerikis (Πλατεία Αμερικής) in Athens. The composition is an interpretation of the Greek evil eye (το μάτι) symbol. The belief in the evil eye is omnipresent in the cultures of the Mediterranean region, Balkans, and Eastern Europe, but is also found in areas as far as Central Asia, Caribbean and Latin America.

In the Greek culture το μάτι is often seen adorning the entryways and door frames of homes and buildings, and is just one manisfestation of the multitude of Greek beliefs about exits and entrances. This mural will now guard the entrance of one ordinary πολυκατοικία, the inhabitants of which were super helpful and kind in the planning and execution stage of this work.
